About Da Hawwa Lur Organization:
Da Hawwa Lur commenced operations in 2001, collaborating with AASHA (Alliance against Sexual Harassment), pioneering efforts to combat sexual harassment in workplaces and public areas. Despite initial challenges, Da Hawwa Lur persisted in raising awareness and implementing laws against sexual harassment since 2010. Expanding its scope, Da Hawwa Lur advocates for transgender rights, girls’ education, women workers’ rights, and policies to combat gender-based violence. The organization prioritizes the empowerment of grassroots women economically and socially, ensuring workplace equality and recognizing the rights of home-based and domestic workers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Vision:
Da Hawwa Lur envisions a world where women’s and transgender rights are universally respected as fundamental human rights. We strive for a society where individuals have autonomy over their lives and enjoy equal access to education, employment, governance, justice, legal support, financial resources, recreation, and comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services.
Mission:
Da Hawwa Lur is committed to empowering Women and Transgender, advocating for their rights, and enhancing their capacity to become catalysts for women’s empowerment and societal transformation.
