AASHA (Alliance against Sexual Harassment)
Da Hawwa Lur started working, in 2001, with AASHA as an initiative of organizations committed to ending sexual harassment at work and in public places.
Da Hawwa Lur has been working on a number of programs with an aim of achieving the agenda of Gender Equality. The key strategies used during the process include:
- Psycho Legal support services for the victims/survivors of sexual violence
- Advocacy on Gender-sensitive education reforms, home-based workers
- Provincial policy, transgender protection act
- Strengthening referral mechanism to improve better service delivery
- Feminist Movement Building
- Mobilisation and Sensitization at the community level

Building Inclusive Governance Structures:
Da Hawwa Lur aims to support women and transgender persons by helping them to take part
in good governance and building inclusive governance structures for them through following

Gender Justice and Rights
Da Hawwa Lur believes in gender justice and rights for all. To provide justice to women and transgender persons and help them, Da Hawwa Lur engages in the following activities:
(a) Psycho-Legal Support
Da Hawwa Lur provides free Psycho-Legal support to victims and survivors of Gender-Based and Sexual Violence. Da Hawwa Lur aims to improve service delivery mechanisms for the communities through its referral mechanism. It has provided free legal aid to women, girls, and transgender under family suits, maintenance, inheritance, harassment, domestic violence, and sexual violence.

Girls Education
Da Hawwa Lur is a prime supporter of girls’ education. It makes efforts to make education accessible to girls across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights
Da Hawwa Lur has been working in the rural and marginalized communities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to advocate for the sexual and reproductive health rights of women and transgender persons. Da Hawwa Lur has launched a “Reproductive Health Rights Network KP” to advocate for reproductive health rights.

Psycho-Legal support for Transgender in KPPSYCHO-LEGAL AND MEDICAL SUPPORT SERVICES TO AFGHAN REFUGEES
Psycho-Legal and Medical support services sessions for Women Afghan Refugees with an aim to provide timely support of legal and psychological counseling along with medical advice.
Key Achievements:
- Trained 1000 youth in conflict transformation, peace building, pro-women legislation, advocacy, and gender-based violence prevention.
- Sensitized 600 transgender individuals on sexual and reproductive health rights, psycho-legal services, constitutional rights, and anti-harassment legislation.
- Established the first KP Working Women Union with 2000 registered home-based workers, leading to legislative reforms for women home-based workers.
- Established feminist movements and networks, including the first Men’s Coalition to Eliminate Violence against Women and Women Citizen Committees.
- Provided free psycho-legal support to 123 survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in KP.
- Developed strong referral mechanisms through 9 MoUs with public and private institutions.
- Distributed relief packages and hygiene kits to transgender individuals and women during the Covid-19 pandemic in Districts Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, and Mardan.
- Advocated for gender-sensitive education policy reforms, resulting in increased girls’ enrollment in rural Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
- Developed Womanifesto as an accountability tool for Local Government Elections.
- Enhanced the capacity of 434 stakeholders on women’s and transgender rights, pro-women legislation, and SRHR.
- Presented a Zero Draft on the Beijing Platform for Action to government officials, highlighting key issues and solutions.
